How to work under the Specified Skilled Worker status? ABOUT SSW
To work under the Specified Skilled Worker (i) status, you need to pass a Japanese language test and a skills test.
(Those who have successfully completed the Technical Intern Training (ii) program are exempt from these tests. However, if you wish to work in a different field, you must pass the skills test for that specific field.)
After that, you can apply for the Specified Skilled Worker status once you have signed a contract with a company.
